I think "self-destructive personality disorder" is a fantastic term for a lot of what I've done to myself. It's really encouraging to hear that it gets easier to want to do.

The only thing I didn't like about this interview was the fact that "effect" was used in place of "affect". As a verb, "affect" means to change or alter, while "effect" means to bring about. I'm sorry, but that's a pet peeve of mine.

Congratulations to Natalie! Weight loss is so hard and she is doing an amazing job! My 23-year-old son was diagnosed with testicular cancer 2 years ago. Had major surgery but they got all the tumors, no chemo or radiation but check ups every 4 months for 5 years. He has always been a big guy, too. His Dad is really big. After my son saw one of his CT's that showed a fatty liver he told me, "It's not the cancer but my weight that will kill me". He started eating healthy and working out and has lost 130 pounds in 12 months. He is 6'2" and weighs 192 pounds and looks and acts like a different person. I AM SO PROUD OF HIM!!! So, Natalie- you go girl!!! I'm proud of you, too.

I'm so happy for Natalie that she's been successful so far in getting healthy! I went vegetarian about a month and a half ago, and it's been amazing how much better I feel. I know it's not a change everyone wants to make, but going meatless is the best thing I've ever done.
