Once a month we make dinner-party-like and chat with each other about ourselves, what we're into, and what we're about. I ask you three questions, answer them myself, and then you have at it in the comment section.
1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
I pretty regularly become obsessed with one author and then systematically read everything they've ever written; these days it's J.D. Salinger. But he only wrote four books so I'll need someone new soon.
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I'm judgmental like whoa. Or rather, I really, really don't care what you do, but if you insist on complaining about things you can change? Lo, there will be judgement and side-eyeing. What am I doing about it? Hmmmm. Avoiding people who complain?
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
THERE ARE SO MANY I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START. Pajama pants in public. Perms - for years. A pair of red fleece overhauls that I sewed myself. Dreadlocks made out of glue.
Tell me about you! And leave links to your blog and/or Twitter so we can befriend you!

Dreadlocks made out of glue! That made me shudder a little!
ReplyDeleteQ1 I am loving American TV dramas about politics and intrigue. Scandal, House of Cards & The Americans particularly. I lived in Washington DC & miss it, so I live there vicariously through TV.
Q2 I'm not patient. Like at all. I want things now, now, now. I am trying to temper my demanding-ness with more compassion though.
Q3 I love scrunchies. Hillary Clinton got a lot of grief about them, but I love 'em. I have a lotta hair and want it all outta my face. Scrunchies do the job without breaking my hair in pieces.
Before I do mine, Salinger tip: When you run out of actual Salinger, you should read Shoeless Joe by WP Kinsella. It's what the movie Field of Dreams is based on, except they used James Earl Jones's character in the movie to replace what is supposed to be a fictionalised JD Salinger. Fictional, but still great for a Salinger junkie.
ReplyDeleteAlso, dreadlocks made of glue?! I am intrigued.
Anyway:
1. I fell in love with E4's new show My Mad Fat Diary. The first series JUST ended on Monday and I was so bummed out it was gonna be over, but they announced they'd be doing a second series right at the end. Hooray! It's so awesome. It just reminds me so much of high school and how I actually think (then and now) and good music and feelings and everything. If you can get it in the US somehow, I highly recommend it.
2. I am really high-strung about planning and people being on time and responding to things with consideration (answering all three questions in an email instead of just one!) I used to get really outwardly snarky about this a lot more often, but I've been working on it a long time. I just try to remind myself that not everyone is going to be on top of their shit all the time (including me), so I just need to chill. But usually I flip out about it inside my own head anyway.
3. I'm not really fashion-y. In fact, I try too hard to stick to jeans and t-shirts more than I probably should. Sometimes to the point where I tell MYSELF 'come on, maybe you should dress things up a leeeeeetle bit here?'
I'm on twitter @kateamann
Huh-lar-ee-us!
ReplyDelete1. Fearful Adventurer. She's about to come out with her book and her blog is utterly delightful. http://www.fearfuladventurer.com/
2. I get all bent out of shape over small issues that are out of my control. Like tech problems on a client phone call. I've been reminding myself that those are small things and life isn't all-or-nothing.
3. She-mullet in middle school. Though that's on my mother. I didn't do it to myself.
Hiya
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you on the pajama pants in public thing. Guilty!
1. I am completely obsessed with 30 Rock at the moment - I think Liz Lemon would be my ideal best friend (if she wasn't fictional). Currently reading the Steve Jobs biography which is awesome and wildly inspiring!
2. I am ridiculously over-enthusiastic and I use way too many exclamation points!!! I'm stupidly impatient and get really snarky and frustrated with people who don't understand my ideas immediately. I am trying to work on all this though.
3. I really need to get dressed more often...
I'm @EliConnected on Twitter - come and say Hi. Also, I blog at http://interconnectedthings.co.uk so come join me there as well, if you like. Looking forward to getting to know some more peeps :-)
Oohh. Let's see.
ReplyDelete1. The Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I even blogged about this because I love this show so much. When it ends at the end of next month I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
2. I jump to conclusions way too easily. Plus, I usually jump to the worst case scenario conclusion, which really isn't helping anyone.
3. Bright orange Skechers in the fifth grade. Like... BRIGHT. ORANGE. But hey, they were comfy!
I love LBD too! and am not enjoying the return to the 2-episodes-per-week schedule!
DeleteI've begun supplementing for LBD with fanfiction, we'll see how that goes as time goes on. I've also curated a list of web shows to watch from the Streamys nominations. They're not the same, but most of them are absolutely awesome in their own right.
DeleteYeah, Squaresville is next on my list :)
DeleteAwww, I am all about bright crazy sneakers! I bet they were awesome! I have a bright yellow pair of Adidas just now and they are crazy but I get compliments all the time.
DeleteOkay, can you please explain the dreadlocks issue?!
ReplyDelete1. I got married over winter break, and since all tv shows were on break when we got back from our honeymoon, we started watching heroes since neither of us had seen it. I can't decide if it's really good or so bad that I can't stop watching.
2. I'm really introverted, and sometimes that can come off as seeming snotty when meeting new people.
3. I work from home, and there are days where I fail to see the need to get dressed at all. hello, yoga pants.
thegirlwholovedtowrite.blogspot.com
xoxo,
Chelsea
I love my yoga pants more than is correct! And um, they're covered in cat and dog hair, and yes, sometimes I leave the house like that. Oops.
DeleteI'm really introverted too. I try to smile a lot to make up for the lack of ability in small talk. I'm not so sure if this works or not!
I loved the first season of Heroes...the rest, not so much.
DeleteThis is fun!
ReplyDelete1. Honestly and I swwwwear I'm not trying to lick up to you, but I'm totally into your blog at the moment and love reading though past posts!! I'm also a tad obsessed with Dana from the blog Wonder Forest!
2. I'm fickle! Change my mind all the time and get bored easily! What I am trying to do? I've done much about it yet! Any advice out there in t'internet world!?
3. A full length denimn dungaree dress that I wore with a rainbow stripe top to a disco of all places! That and a crochet wasitcoat complete with beading, which I also wore to a disco. 1995 was not my friend!
Twitter: @LRainbowDesigns
Blog: http://www.luckyrainbowdesigns.blogspot.com
Hahah! Thanks so much!
Delete1. Great blog about where I'm from (the North-East of England) that showcases great events and goings-on in the region: girlinthenorth.com
ReplyDelete2. I have no filter and I don't think before I speak. I'm to do the whole counting to 3 before I speak sometimes but patience is not my virtue.
3. I wore bandanas to the death and I had those adidas popper tracksuit bottoms, we used to undo all the poppers and pretend we were cowboys (don't ask)
Come check out my blog (in its teething stage atm) at: toddstravelsuk.blogspot.fr
1. I just finished On Love by Alain de Botton, and I'm super crazy about it...though it did make me think about my own narcissistic when in love traits. Yikes. Oh, and DOWNTON for TV. Why do we have to wait so long before it comes back?!
ReplyDelete2. Sometimes I feel like I talk at people, telling them all of my problems, instead of taking a breath and really listening. The horrible thing is that I hate it when people do this to me, so I'm really bugged with myself. LISTEN MORE, MANDY. Come on, now.
3. Remember when corduroy overalls were really popular in the late 90s? Oh yeah. I rocked them. And I had a matching jacket, no less.
I blog over at ohdizzle.wordpress.com, if anyone wants to check it out. I actually have a review of On Love up today!
1. Vegan blogs and running blogs. All of them. I recently started my own (maggiebolson.wordpress.com is the name for now) in hopes of connecting with vegans, runners, and vegan runners. Because I'm currently lonely eating chia in my Brooks.
ReplyDelete2. Pretty much the exact same as you. "I'm so fat!" while eating a cupcake. "I'm so tired!" when I know you stayed up until three watching movies. "I have to pee!" when the bathroom is down the hall. Zero patience, zero sympathy. It's real bad. I'm trying to remind myself that everyone fights their own battle, or to gently suggest changes if I know the whiner really well. BUT I'm trying to avoid real whiners, so this tactic is less necessary than just shutting my mouth and gettin' all walk two moons.
3. My post-run grocery-store get-up. It's basically my sweaty running clothes with a hoodie over it and fake Payless "Sperrys" in place of my running shoes. I wear pencil skirts and heels five days a week, I can look like a dorky athlete at the grocery store if I want to.
I'm a veggie runner (Brooks PureCadence for life!) who loves chia. Wanna be friends? ;)
DeleteI'm a veggie runner, too! I'm a little more flexible when it comes to diet (vegetarian, but will consume meat if the surrounding party is *determined* to order sausage on the pizza), but am super dedicated to eating only whole, unprocessed ingredients whenever/wherever possible :) Also wanna be friends?
DeleteBiggest personality flaw: flaking out on projects or friend dates--NOT because I don't love the work or the people, but because I have a bad habit of over-committing. I just wanna do all the things, and really need to learn to say no sometimes.
Biggest fashion faux pas: a highlighter yellow fleece vest that I rocked with pretty much EVERY outfit in the late 90s. Why did no one mention that highlighter yellow isn't exactly a complementary color?
I'm a runner (not a veggie though) and I'd love to know which running blogs are your favorite! :-)
Delete1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteTotally obsessed with BONES right now. I kinda sorta want to be Brennan when I grow up. But with feelings.
Also: I've read nearly all of John Swartzwelder's books. He used to write for THE SIMPSONS but now does these sarcastic detective novels that are hilarious.
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I'm a mothereffing control freak, although I'm just really accepting that now. I'm attempting to combat it by turning over more of my assumed responsibilities to others and, you know, just relaxing sometimes.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
I used to want to be Sarah from LABYRINTH, so when I was like 14-15, I would wear tight jeans with big poofy shirts and men's vests. Which would be cool and sexy if I wasn't hideously gawky and didn't have coke-bottle glasses and a whitegirl afro at the time. There are pictures. I am ashamed.
I <3 John Swartzwelder! I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through "The Time Machine Did It"! :D Also, I feels you on the men's vests, only my look was a little more Annie Hall than Labyrinth, haha.
DeleteAhh Bones! Yes! I've been making my way through all the episodes on Netflix for the past couple of months. Currently I'm on the second to last episode and I don't know what I'll do after that.
Delete1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteI'm currently 100% obsessed with The Hills. I know, I know... it's shameful. I never watched any when it was on TV, but I've been marathoning it on netflix. It's the perfect brain-escapism to have on while I make jewellery!
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I get really judgemental, too. I'm also really quick to correct people when they're wrong, and it can cause arguments. I need to learn that sometimes things can just slide (even if they are totally wrong!).
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
Er... the entirety of the 90s. I was only aged 5-15 at the time, but boy-o-boy, that was still bad enough.
1. You asked me this question at coffee and I completely forgot my newest blog obession. www.houseofharvey.com It reads and looks like a design blog, but it's all about dogs. It's adorable, light and such a refreshing idea.
ReplyDelete2. My biggest flaw is not getting down to business until the last minute. I know this is called procrastination, but in my mind I act like I'm the boss of this staff that will do my work for me. I'm fooling myself because I am a one-woman operation so all of those tasks need to get done by me. Ugh...get to work Katie!
3. I think my whole wardrobe is a faux pas. I always choose to mix and match colors and textures. I always get the same old "that was an interesting choice." from my family. I got my fashion sense from my husband so as long as he likes it I don't mind. Plus i think it's fun.
Find me over at www.thesmallchangeproject.com/blog
Oh, perms. I still kinda want one. Is that bad?
ReplyDelete1. The boy and I just finished House of Cards, and oh la, it is fun. But for major suspense and total emotional absorption, Homeland wins hands down. As for reading, I am one of those strange sorts who reads cookbooks for fun (I'm doing a PhD in English, so novels are work, not leisure). Just finished Elizabeth David's French Provincial Cooking, which is both inspiring as a cook and really cool as a history, and I'm now re-immersed in Deborah Madison's Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone. After having to skip all the meat chapters in David, it's such a treat! Can't wait for her new one next month.
2. I'm often not that great at accepting people (especially me, and sometimes my partner) for who they are, and instead I judge them for not being who I want them to be, or who I think they could be. And there's nothing that sucks more than not being accepted for who you are, especially by people who love you, so I'm working hard to put the kibosh on that one.
3. I'm completely rocking one right now, as I do almost every day--white athletic socks, pajama pants, a long-sleeved tee, and a poncho my mom crocheted me (because the house is cold). I work from home all the time now, rather than just some of the time, and I'm taking way too much pleasure in the fact that I don't have to get dressed if I don't want to. I think I should start snapping out of that soon...
I know! I literally once held a friend's face in my hands and said "I know you could do great things" (subtext: you're not doing them now)
DeleteThere may have been wine involved.
I also love vegetarian and vegan cookbooks and running, and I'm in the last stage of a PhD in English.
DeleteHave you read Vegan Eats World, The New Middle Eastern Vegetarian, or Plenty yet? They're all pretty fantastic. Are you into cooking and baking as well? or do you mostly like to read cookbooks?
Do you want to be friends?
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteAnd we're both named Mel? It's meant to be!
DeleteI'm pretty obsessed with Plenty, and I just finished my mother-in-law's copy of Claudia Roden's A Book of Middle Eastern Food from the 1960s, which was awesome (and a total classic). I'll have to go looking for the veggie one. I'm tempted by Jerusalem, but books that require me to ignore half the recipes kinda make me sad. And I'm SO into cooking and baking. Even got my very own blog (which I think you've already found, but for those who haven't):
www.heartandsalt.com
@heartandsalt
Also, will you be at Congress in June? Because we could ACTUALLY meet, which would be very cool.
DeleteI wish I were going, but I'm finishing up my dissertation and running up against the "finish or we'll kick you out" deadline later this year (so, you know, can't make travel plans until that's done).
DeleteBut meeting up would be awesome! Let's make it happen some time.
Also, @Melissa, I belatedly noticed that you're in Toronto -- I've got family there & visit at least a few times a year!
DeleteYou should let me know next time you're in town! And I'm wishing you all the productivity in the world so you can get done on time. I'm not facing that quite yet (I've got a year and a half of funding left), but I can imagine the feeling!
Delete1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteI only have a few eps left, but I've been totally devouring Full Metal Alchemist on Netflix, after years of putting off watching it. Also moderately obsessed with Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, and American Horror Story, because YES.
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I am hella neurotic and super controlling. It can be a good thing sometimes, mostly because if I've THOUGHT of all of the disaster scenarios, I'm more likely to be able to prepare for them, but a lot of times, I've actually talked myself out of doing fun things because of all of the potential for bad-happenings that I can't control. And that's no good! I have been trying lately to do less pooh-poohing of my own plans and just DO things, even if I don't have all of the specifics set in stone yet. Mixed results so far, but I'm working on it!
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
I was a punky, gothy skinny kid in high school, and I didn't really know what I was doing, fashion-wise for many years. (Still kinda don't, sadly.) I went straight from "no makeup" to "black eyeliner and safety pin earrings", and a lot of my pants were in unintentional tatters. Didn't do ANYTHING with my hair, so it was always sort of almost straight, but with a big kink right in the middle. And I wore nothing but band t-shirts and babydoll tees. From the thrift store. Before the rise of hipster chic. Oi. (Oi, oi!)
@helloimjennsco
http://www.blognumber42.com
I too was a safety pin earrings gal. My mom made me sterilize them with alcohol, which was probably the only way she could justify how embarrassing it was.
Delete1. I'm currently obsessively following The Lizzie Bennet Diaries on youtube: they're a really well-done modern vlog-style P&P adaptation. Plus, each video is only 4-5 minutes long, which makes them perfect for work rewards. (find here: https://www.youtube.com/user/LizzieBennet)
ReplyDelete2. I'm... not the best at dealing with change. It takes me awhile to get used to the idea of something different, even if I know it'll be a good idea in the end, and I have a hard time switching gears in the middle of a plan.
3. Light-wash high-rise tapered jeans. Oh, the 90's.
I luuuuurve the Lizzie Bennet Diaries! Although I disagree about the advantage of being 4-5 minutes each-- it's so easy to say, "Just one more," and suddenly, it's like two hours later...
Delete...also known as "what happened a few weekends ago when I got all caught up on almost 12 hours of videos in 2 days"...
DeleteOMG Lizzie Bennet Diaries! There comes a moment every Monday and Thursday when I very suddenly remember that there is a new episode and immediately I drop whatever I am doing to watch it. So fraking good.
DeleteThere are also moments on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday when I realize that there isn't a new episode and am very disappointed :)
DeleteI brought the cheese and wine, everybody! Anyone, anyone? ;)
ReplyDelete1.> I didn't think I would, but I totally got sucked into Downton Abbey. Love it! Wish I could wear an extravagant laced up dress with a big feather hat everywhere. *sigh* Oh, have the times changed. Also, HBO's Girls is a current fav of mine. Where was this show when I was in highschool/college?!
2.> Sometimes I swear I'm a chameleon in which I'm always changing my "colors." I can be so indecisive at times and go through phases. I just want to do it all! I'm trying to take more baby steps and learn that things will come and happen in time.
3.> Oh gosh. Just thinking about my gawd awful glitter Mudd jeans makes me want to hide behind my hair. Speaking of glitter, in middle school I thought that a little glitter eyeliner would jazz up my appearance. No wonder my parents always give me that "look" as I walked out the door.
1. I'm loving Downton Abbey right now too, also (embarrassingly) the Daniel Craig James Bond movies. In the last couple of months I've read all of Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie's novels (except Half of a Yellow Sun, which I just started) and I love them all -- like can't put down loved them. I feel the same way about Cheryl Strayed's Wild.
ReplyDelete2. Ugh. I take all sorts of things too personally -- like if a friend doesn't get back to me within a few days my default thought is "she hates me" or "I'm a pain in the ass" or "what have I done?" and not "oh, he must be really busy." I've spent a lot of time in the last few months repeating "It's not about you" every time I catch myself doing it. I hope it will stick.
3. I went to a school with uniforms, so I had limited opportunities for prolonged fashion faux-pas, though my mother once bought me an outfit that was some awful combination of formal shorts and a jumpsuit. I'm pretty sure there are no pictures of me in it, for which I'm thankful, because that was awful. Also, I wore gothy chokers with everything in 1995.
I'm @mbfparergon on twitter, and I blog at beginswithlemon.wordpress.com -- hope you stop by.
Wait, is loving the newer Bond movies something to be embarrassed about? I think they're awesome!
DeleteI'm obsessed with JD Salinger. I could read his books over and over!!!
ReplyDeleteGotta love Salinger. Nine Stories is complete perfection. Fascinating to follow the Glass family through Nine Stories and into Frannie & Zooey.
ReplyDeleteQ1. I noticed a lot of commenters mentioning House of Cards, and I heartily concur. Kevin Spacey is amazing. As far as blogs are concerned, I absolutely love www.captainawkward.com. It's incredible. Also, my friend Keely writes a lovely blog (keelium.wordpress.com) where she talks very candidly about quitting her PHD program and coping with anxiety and depression.
Q2. Ugh. I guess I tend to feel competitive with other people my age. We're all struggling right now but when I see other people rocking it, I tend to be more "What am I doing wrong?" than "Yay! [Person] is doing so well!" I'm trying to be more mindful of my competitiveness. And I do try to be happy when people succeed (with minimal griping if they're someone I'm not overly fond of).
Q3. When I'm traveling (or just really REALLY lazy) I'll wear leggings and a tshirt, but not usually a tshirt long enough to cover my legging-clad butt. This is a BIG FAUX PAS in my book, and I always fall prey to it. Also, I have these crazy, fluffy zombie sweatpants that I've worn in public a few times. I keep it class and wear them out with my nude-colored slip on flats. I am a beauty queen.
<3s
I'm Kait, btw (www.zombies4breakfast.com)
Thanks for linking to your friend's blog! I know lots of people (myself included) who will find that a resonant read.
DeleteI think I may have found a life twin in your friend-- only I quit teaching and am dealing with anxiety and depression. I started a blog about it too. Off to read! Thanks for the links.
DeleteAlso, nude flats absolve any fashion sins, so you're good.
DeleteLauren claire,
DeleteLOL! I really need to buy a new pair of nude flats, since I wear mine so often that they've started to smell....reeeeeally bad.
I'm THRILLED that you (and Melissa above you) love Keely's blog. She is wonderful and smart and insightful and definitely worth reading!
Oh man, the dreaded flat smell. Happens to me alllll the time. And I feel like the perfect nude flat is always so elusive! It's a bummer when they start to smell and wear out (somehow I always end up with holes at the base of the heels?)
Delete1. The Bloggess currently holds sway on my heart. Love her courage and humor.
ReplyDelete2. Very judgy with little patience from self inflicted drama.
3. Pure mommy fashion, jeans, t-shirts, and not very much of anything else.
Love you and your writing! I'm new to your blog, but am so happy to have found it.
1: show: 30 Rock; blog: Budget Bytes, I love cooking blogs; book: I'm really enjoying the Happiness Project and its sequel. I'm getting the journal for my 25th in a few weeks, I'm excited about the prospect of keeping track of the next 5 years- it seems very well-timed!
ReplyDelete2: If there were such a thing as the worry olympics, I would be the 5-time gold medalist. I try to keep it in check, but uh, that doesn't always happen. And yes, I do worry about what that might do to my longterm health ;)
3: Remember marshmallow jackets? Yeah, I BEGGED for one to be one of the cool kids, and I ended up with a monstrosity of a maroon one (I picked it out, I am ashamed to admit). It was BEYOND hideous, and after about a week, I hated it, loathed it, despised it to its goosedown core-- and I had to wear it because I was in 6th grade, and that was the winter coat I insisted upon, and my parents couldn't (and wouldn't) afford to buy me another one. I learned a very valuable lesson about fashion and buying decisions....
1- I don't have time to be obsessed with anything fun right now (at least for the next two weeks!). I've been transitioning into full-time freelance, working full-time for my 9-5 employer and then working part-time of 10-15 hours for my freelance employer. It's insane amounts of work so I really haven't done much other than work, sleep, and eat. March 5th is my last day of work and it's scary to think very soon, I'll have to hustle hardcore everyday. But so liberating!
ReplyDeleteI have however been taking some time to watch the Carrie Diaries. Sad but I love high school shows on the CW. I was really into Gossip Girl for years and was trying to find a replacement!
2-I jump into things headlong, even if it doesn't seem like the best idea. I want everything to be successful immediately! It's been really hard to not just quit my job one day and walk off to go do freelance but I'm really glad I've been working for the last three years to get to this point.
3-I wanted to try different hair colors a lot when I was in high school and college. Self-dyed red is always a nasty orange, no matter what way you try to do it. The only way to get rid of it is to go black, obviously (not!). No one knew my real hair color in college until I was a senior!
1. I have finally jumped on the Downton Abbey train and I'm totally addicted. When I'm not rabidly Netflixing season 1, I love reading the blog Leaner by the Lake! Eileen has a very positive approach to body image and health.
ReplyDelete2. Learning to listen better is one of my biggest personal goals. I usually connect with people by sharing my own experiences--which can be helpful in the right circumstance but is not always what someone wants. When someone brings up an issue/personal problem, I try to actively consider my response before sharing and make sure I'm being thoughtful about what I say (or when I stay quiet and just listen).
3. So many fashion mistakes. You know how goth women are sometimes incredibly well dressed with a lot of exquisite detail? I tried to go "goth" in 8th grade, but really that just meant wearing black track pants and a black Hanes t-shirt every day...always accessorized by a hideous spiked plastic choker from Claire's. Woe to my teenage years!
Such a good show. Don't you just want to crochet everything the Dowgar Countess says on a pillow? Who's your favorite character? My favorite changes every episode, maybe even every scene.
DeleteThank you for the shout out, lady! :)
Deletewww.leanerbythelake.com
1) I made the mistake of watching the first episode of The Bachelor this season... Aaaand now I cannot stop. I'm also really into photography, would love to get into fashion photography and have been following a lot of fashion blogs for photo inspiration. Those fashion bloggers have the most talented photographers!
ReplyDelete2) Biggest personality flaw? Probably procrastinating a LOT of art or photo projects whether they are for myself, a friend or a job. I think I procrastinate them because I'm scared of failing or that they won't be good enough! I need to get some confidence and just do it!!
3) First of all, I laughed out loud about wearing pajamas in public! Oh so so true! I see young girls doing it now and just cringe that I used to as well! Also, choker necklaces. Oh lawd. I see old pictures of myself wearing chokers and they are NOT flattering. Especially the thick, homemade, hemp ones. GAH!!
This was a really good idea! I loved reading about you and all the other girls!

instagram: rrbaken
tumblr: rrbaken.tumblr.com (a photo blog in the early stages)
Oh, Rebecca, you and me BOTH on the Bachelor! I cannot get enough of that show, and it's my guiltiest of guilty pleasures.
DeleteI'm right with you both in the Bachelor lately... to the point that I've even started watching previous seasons in between episodes. Why do I want the drama in my life?!
DeleteBecause it feels great to say "Oh man, I may have made some bad decisions in life, but at least I'm not doing THAT on primetime television!" :)
Delete1)My current television obsession is Archer, because it is freaking hilarious. And I'm counting down the days till the new Arrested Development episodes show up on Netflix. I'm a bit bummed that I am between book obsessions- I just finished Jim Harrison's Returning to Earth, and it was good, but not OMG I WANT TO LIVE IN THAT BOOK good.
ReplyDelete2) I'm fairly judgemental too, and I can be a flake. I'm working on it- I think a recent change in my daily responsibilities has helped quite a bit. Less stress makes me less angry about people!
3)I've made a lot of "interesting" fashion choices in my past, but I'm okay with owning most of them. Heavy glitter eyeshadow and pink hair throughout high school? Meh, I was young, and it was fun. The only thing I regret is the pajamas to class thang I did in my first year of college. That was just lazy.
1) I'm currently loving the blog, ohhappyday.com! My bff clued me in on it's awesomeness. It's a crafting and art blog based in San Francisco, where I just moved 8 months ago! My bff and I created one of the valentine's day projects together, and I can't wait to go to one of the ohhappyday craft nights!
ReplyDelete2) I am normally a sunny, positive person, but I have a really bad habit of being really harsh on myself. This can result in a two-three day period of being in the doldrums, when what I really need to do is take stock of how much I have to be thankful for!
3) The worst fashion/hair choice has got to be the period in 7th grade when I insisted in wearing my hair in two high buns on either side of my head. It wasn't Princess Lea style...they were higher, and smaller, and just awful. Every time I think about it I have to laugh, because I think 7th grade me must've known that future me would get a real kick out of it.
Dude! I totally used to wear that hairstyle and I loooooved it and thought I was sooooo cute! ;)
DeleteThat hairdo sounds like Serena's in Sailor Moon (which I was obsessed with in 6th grade), so I'm pretty sure that hairdo of yours was AWESOME.
DeleteI, too, wore my hair that way. Dude, it was the 90s. My older sister's friend wore her hair that way to prom. They weren't exactly the cool kids, but they were cool to me!
DeleteI still wear my hair that way on occasion! See:
Deletehttp://nessbow.com/2012/11/21/daily-outfit-21112012/
1) I avoided it for a long time because I'm not a huge fan of Zooey Dechanel and the Manic Dream Pixie Girl characters she usually plays, but once I started watching 'The New Girl' I became a convert. The show has made me laugh out loud more than once.
ReplyDeleteAfter weeks of waiting for the next available copy from the library, I finally got my hand on a copy of 'The Fault in Our Stars', and sweet baby Jebus is SO GOOD. I devoured it in one night, which means I was sob-reading the last bit at 3:00 in the morning. Now I'm trying to get my friends to read it so I have someone to talk about it with.
2) I'm also a member of Team Judgey (Team mascot: big cartoon judge with over-sized gavel). But I also have the added annoying feature of sticking around people who refuse to change the things in their life that make them unhappy. Which makes me unhappy. It's like a mobius strip of neurosis sometimes.
3) Umm ... not changing my style in the last 15 years or so? Jeans/skirt, t-shirt/camisole, sweater. I'm never quite in-style, but also never totally out of style either.
I'll talk about The Fault in Our Stars with you! So will most of Tumblr if you dare to venture there. OMG, part of me is still morning it. I feel like the obvious answer to this period of morning is to read The Imperial Affliction, but apparently that's not a real thing. :(
DeleteI know! Somebody needs to write "The Imperial Affliction" so everyone who's a fan of the book can read it!
DeleteThis comment has been removed by a blog administrator.
ReplyDeleteGood questions!
ReplyDelete1) Right now I'm obsessed with Karen Russell's new book of short stories, "Vampires in the Lemon Grove." She's the author of "Swamplandia!" which stole my heart last summer.
2) Oh man, so many to choose from :) I am a pessimist down to the bone, and my fiance is such an optimist that it makes me mad sometimes! I will literally say, "It's so stupid of you to be positive, because you're not acknowledging reality, and when something terrible DOES happen, I'm going to be the only one who was worried and saw it coming!" Which is the smart girl's way to both insult your significant other AND pull negative energy into your life with one stone! I want to let go of constant fear of something bad happening, and I'm getting there, bit by bit.
3) This is another one where I'm going to have to choose from several. Before sixth grade, I refused to wear any jeans because the denim was too rough and felt uncomfortable. So I lived in leggings from the Children's Place. And I wore them so much that when my legs were bent you could see through to my knees. I'd pair them with white fringe cowboy boots, an oversized men's white tee, a floral vest, and call it a day.
The faux pas? I wore pretty much the exact same outfit during college.

1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteI'm a TV major and follow about 2 dozen blogs, so I'm trying to show restraint here. My favorite web show at the moment is The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, a modern adaption of Pride and Prejudice. I'm also eagerly awaiting the continuation of Hipsterhood and Eastsiders, 2 other new web series based in LA. I'm watching Dollhouse on Netflix and loving the underlying morality themes. In the non-video world I am loving Matt Kepnes' blog (nomadicmatt.com) and his new book on travel. (yes, that was restraint, don't judge me :) )
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I'm bad at JUST listening. Whenever someone starts talking to me, I always wind up trying to fix their problems. Which is fine if that's what they were looking for, but I think it puts people off that I can't seem to just listen.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
The best is probably my over sized green army jacket. It makes me look like I'm pregnant, but I can't seem to stop wearing it. There was also a long stretch where I refused to wear shorts because I hated my knees. I'm sure there are others, but I've blocked them out due to trauma.
1.My website obsession is www.ravelry.com an online community for knitters/crochet. It's a great resource for patterns and the data base aspects appeal to my inner geek. When I'm ready to make a new project I just input the yarn I have and bask in the potential projects. Crafty goodness!
ReplyDelete2. I'm super self critical. My inner comparison queen wants to know why I'm not a Department Director, with 2.5 children, owning a perfect house, flush with cash and traveling the globe, all at the exact same time, of course. Every day I do two things to keep this in check. First I write in my gratitude journal in my case an iphone app. Secondly, I do one thing towards a goal. Little steps like exercise, studying, updating my Linked In profile make me feel accomplished even if I don't have a "perfect" life.
3. My most awesome fashion faux pas dying my hair orange in high school. It was a bad home attempt at red hair. I was in private school and it violated the dress code. I faced expulsion for the dye job. I looked like I lost a fight with a Slurpee Machine. There was a series of trips to friends houses and hairdressers to "fix it." Eventually I transferred schools and rocked all kinds of crazy hairstyles.
I'd love to hear more from you ladies:

1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteGirls! I kept reading about the second series starting all over the place - and I'd never heard of it! Now I have, I totally get the excitement. I'm not sure why I like it so much, but I do.
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
Hmm, probably indecision. It's certainly the one that seems to frustrate other people most. I am increasingly trying to just accept that I have to make decisions sometimes, without involving EVERYONE else in that decision.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
I'm sure there's many. But there's an awful photo of me that exists where I'm teaming up terrible synthetic hair extensions (in two tone blue!) and some awful jogging bottoms that were all the rage when I was about 13 - why didn't our parents say something?!
1: I cannot stop watching Adventure Time. I'm in love with all the characters.
ReplyDelete2: Biggest personality flaw... oof. Probably that I am more willing to give criticism than to receive it. Also, I roll my eyes a lot. I'm trying to work on it by remembering how I would feel if people did the same to me!
3: My whole life is a fashion faux pas. Seriously, check out this picture of me as a kid... I think I was pretending to be the Virgin Mary: http://www.flickr.com/photos/notitles/8493280444/in/photostream
1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteCurrently it's Pinterest, Hannah Hart (@harto), Epic Meal Time. Definitely on an internet kick!
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I tend to keep all of my stresses/worries/issues bottled up, and only let them out in a full on freak out. I know it's coming once I start randomly crying. Let's just say, it's not healthy, and I'm trying to stop internalizing things so much.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
I had 2 pairs of short overalls as a kid, one was lime green, and one was lavender. They were my absolute favorites, and I rocked them! I also avoided brushing my hair whenever possible, it was a mess. Glad I got over that!
1. Tumblr (I have a secret life on Tumblr!)
ReplyDelete2. Piss-poor time management jumps to mind because it is encroaching on my goals. I used to be SO good at time management (or maybe I deluded myself into thinking that?) but yeah. It is a flaw that has deepened in the last 3 years.
3. Asian Mullet (I'm not Asian, but apparently nobody told me that Japanese hair and Caucasian hair will do different things even with the same haircut)
@GlassofWin
Well, I've been stopping by here ever since Alicia over at Humble Foodie linked up with Yes and Yes's 9 Days of Nice (which I loved, by the way)- time for me to say hello! In true example of the internet rabbit hole, I found Alicia through my best friend's Instagram, which led me to her blog, which is now leading me here. Seven degrees of social media separation.
ReplyDelete1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
The 7 Up Series! This socio-cultural documentary (streaming on Netflix) follows a group of British children starting in 1964 and checks in every 7 years with an update on how life is progressing. The thesis is that a child's character and future is generally formed by the age of 7. 56Up just premiered in Chicago this month, and I'm planning to see it later this week.
As for reading - I'm going to reciprocate Alica's comment above about my blog - I love HumbleFoodie.com, which blends joy and health together. It's been an inspiration to build on my own healthy living and I love her daily dose of positivity. Her outlook on enjoying life and seeing the glass half full, is refreshing and encouraging. She's actually guest posting about gratitude over on my site tomorrow, so stop by and read if you're interested in daily journaling as a practice that encourages rising with intention!
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
Mine is undoubtedly the fact that once I get upset, I'm a runaway train of emotions. Since I was little, I've had trouble pulling myself out of the "this is the worst thing to ever happen" moment. Instead of listening to the other side of the story, or thinking about why this isn't the worst thing to happen in anyone's life EVER, I can only focus on how I feel about the situation. Lately, I've been working on stepping back and seeing the bigger picture than just how I feel about something.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
I HATE to admit this because it is such a bad one - but it is absolutely my prom dress. Straight from Jessica McClintock, it was white with black polka dots and a corset top. Of course, since I was determined to look like beach barbie during the years 2000-2008 (yes this long), I had bleached out highlights and fake tan. The photos make me cringe...and then cringe again.
I also rocked a serious bowl cut (even bangs)from age 3-14. The earlier years were cute and adorable but once I hit 4th grade, it just got weird and awkward. Also, my mom STILL tells me that she prefers me with a short (she means bowl cut) do. I'm all, lady NO WAY.

I'm Jen, I started reading your blog not very long ago when a friend posted your (lovely) 9 Days of Nice Post on her facebook page.
ReplyDelete1. There are a few trainwreck blogs that I read (and then lurk in their GOMI forums) just because I can't look away (and also am often bored at work and amuse myself by falling down the internet rabbit hole). Also can't get enough TV-- right now I'm rewatching The West Wing on Netflix and becoming slightly obsessed with The Following, which isn't quite as smart/shocking/innovative as it wants to be but I love Kevin Bacon too much to quit.
2. Tough question, because I have been cataloging my flaws for a very long time now and it's an extensive list. I think it's being waaaaaaay too hard on myself. To answer part 2: therapy. And learning how to knit. Not sure yet if either one is helping, but that's what I've got.
3. I had some ridiculous pink and grey velcro mary-jane sneakers (maybe they were Sugar?) bought from Hot Topic in the late 90's/early aughts. My mother hated them, which made me love them all the more. Oooh, I was sooooo rebellious.

ReplyDelete1. I am completely obsessed with RuPaul's Drag Race!!! It is my favorite show ever!!!! Me and my husband love it but sadly none of our friends do so we have nobody to talk to about it but each other. I am also currently reading Memoirs of a Geisha (I'm always a little late to do everything) and I am really enjoying it.
ReplyDelete2. My biggest character flaw is I wear my heart on my sleeve. My feelings are very easily hurt and if someone doesn't like me I take it very personally. I am really working on this though and learning that making myself happy is the most important thing (though this is easier said than used in practice).
3. My biggest fashion faux pas was wearing cornrows to my junior prom. Seriously. When were cornrows considered an appropriate dressy hair style for the prom? Though it was 2001 and I later found out that my BFF wore the same style that same year at her junior prom (she went to a different school).
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteYour #3 made me laugh out loud at my desk. My #3 was also prom related. The two of us would have made quite the pair. :)
Deletehttp://leanerbythelake.com
Glad I could make you laugh!! Your prom dress actually sounds pretty awesome to me. :)
DeleteI love this idea so much! Everyone has such great answers!
ReplyDelete1. Lately I'm obsessed with watching Comedy Bang Bang on Netflix. Nothing makes me laugh harder than Scott Aukerman + Reggie Watts.
2. My biggest personality flaw is that I'm so afraid to try new things/take risks that I can very easily talk myself out of them. I've been working on it for the past couple of years by taking small steps to force myself to do new things.
3. SO MANY TERRIBLE FASHION CHOICES! Some of my worst were in high school, when I wore studded belts and denim skirts a lot. Also, I used to dress really weirdly/terribly in college, and once a girl asked me if I was headed to 80's night. Nope, just wearing my regular clothes.
I blog at www.welcometoladyville.com and I'm on Twitter @KerryAnn
"nd once a girl asked me if I was headed to 80's night. Nope, just wearing my regular clothes."
Deletehahahaha!
;)
1. Breaking Bad! I avoided it for a long while, but my husband started re-watching it and I was like, WHAT IS THIS COMPELLING TELEVISION?!
ReplyDelete2. My biggest personality flaw is that I can be spiteful when I'm angry with someone. I've been working on letting go of my anger and being more aware of my actions/feelings!
3. Parachute/breakdance pants! I had a rainbow of colors including lavender, red and orange which I paired with white t-shirts and skate shoes. I guess this would be okay if I skateboarded or danced or something... but I did not, ha!
Blog at: motu viget
Love reading through everyone's answers! Hilarious :D
1. One of my latest tv obsessions is The Walking Dead. It's quite gruesome to watch in terms of the gore of the characters killing zombies, but it's different from your regular murder-obsessed shows like CSI and Law and Order. It's survivalist and constantly challenging how the people deal with their choices and keeping each other alive. It's fantastic, in other words! Andrew Lincoln is phenomenal!
ReplyDelete2. My biggest flaw might be self-doubts. It keeps me guarded from fully being myself in front of others...and in those moments when I am myself, I can still be questioning what I'm doing the whole way. It's too draining, so I've been working on this for a while, and I think I'm on my way to more self-confidence!
3. None of my clothes show a lot of personality. I want them too so much, but being a poor student I get what I can when I can at local thrift stores...and the shops closest don't have a lot of variety.
Looking at so many blogs to follow! I love questionnaires!
Sarah, I love this idea and I love your blog, I just haven't commented before. :P
ReplyDelete1. I'm systematically going through short story collections by Kelly Link. She does magical things with words.
2. My biggest flaw is crippling, Woody-Allen-level anxiety. It holds me back from connecting to new people sometimes, even though I come off as super-friendly. I've been trying to meditate every day - it helps! (But I totally get why people complaining about totally curable problems might annoy the bejeezus out of you. That bugs me, too.)
3. I am proud to say my entire life so far has been one enormous fashion faux-pas. Where do I start? Rainbow tie-dye leggings? Rainbow tie-dye prom dress? RAINBOW TIE-DYE LIFE. I shudder to think of the fluorescent orange cordouroys my mom used to put on me in the 90s.
I'm @bshutts on Twitter and my blog is ThePersonalAutopsy@blogspot.com.
1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteSuper glad 'Community' is back. Loving Amy Poehler's online advice videos.
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
Stressing over things I have no control over. Internalizing stress that doesn't 'belong' to me - isn't my responsibility to lose energy towards.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
My most awesome/dated: crimped hair. I would still do it if my hair crimper hadn't died a few years ago. My most "WHAT?!" clothing item: Blue plaid flannel overalls (I don't think there are any surviving photos)
a crimping iron..that's what i need in my life! thanks for the reminder. ;)
Delete1. I'm about a decade-and-a-half behind the rest of the world, but I'm currently obsessed with Frasier. I've been watching a couple of episodes a night and having a good chuckle.
ReplyDelete2. My worst personality flaw is that I am very quick to panic and jump to conclusions. I blow things out of proportion and get way too upset about small things. To counter this, I'm trying to make sure that I have a little bit of down time each day. I my drama queen streak is so much worse when I'm stressed and cranky. Also, I try to ask myself calming questions (Is this really as bad as I think it is? What are the positives in this situation? Am I exaggerating?) before I react.
3. I've made so many fashion faux pas. But at the time, I was really happy with what I was wearing, so I try not to bag myself out. It's only in hindsight that I think I chose poorly, so why shit all over my past-self when she felt really beautiful in what she was wearing?
great questions! now i wanna go read a bunch of salinger
ReplyDelete1. I just had the worst cold ever for over a week, and took the time to delve into a serious study of Project Runway. Started with a later season, but then found season 1 & 2 DVDs at the local shop. Heidi starts off in t-shirt and tank tops, and Tim is wearing khakis and jeans. Everyone looks so young. The models and contestants cry A LOT! The show is all new and uncertain. ...I really, really love this show, after not thinking I'd want to watch it for years.
2. Hm. Judgement-y hesitation that leads to very-late-adoption-of-awesome-things (see #1). This flaw is lessening since I left my 20s I think. Oh and occasional blurt-i-ness--but I am a Sagittarius, so I think that can't be helped. Or perhaps over-use of hyphens is my real problem.
3. The worst was probably the very shellacked bouffant I ended up with at my sister's wedding. It's mainly the worst because my brothers will Not Let Me Forget It. Ever. ;)

1. How I Met Your Mother, I´d been living on reruns of Friends until a couple of months ago when I started watching past seasons on Netflix; currently waiting for the 7th season and doing full time job to keep me occupied in the meantime ;) Web-wise, obsessed with your blog!!
ReplyDelete2. Have many, but I try to work around them depending of my life situation at that particular moment. Given that I moved alone to another city to start a new job less than a week ago, am making a conscious effort to overcome my shyness and self-doubts about other people misjudging me.
3. Quite a few, including blue hair in high school & very 90´s clothes. I like to think of them as moments of personal growth :)
1. Lately, I've been mildly obsessed with a British show called Saxondale which chronicles the life of an aging former roadie with an anger management problem who owns a pest control company. Freaking hilarious.
ReplyDelete2. My biggest flaw is the fact that I'm afraid to ask for help when I need it because I'm afraid people will judge me for not knowing how to do what I'm asking for help with.
3. My mom sews, and when I was a little girl she made a lot of my clothes... and she'd often let me chose my own patterns and fabrics, which was pretty much a disaster because I always gravitated towards the most garish fabrics on the rack. Like... think of the colors that came in the early 90s Crayola fluorescent marker sets... I remember a particularly hideous neon green jumpsuit with a bright pink collar that she should have dissuaded me from. I wore it to school once, got made fun of for looking like a clown and never wore it again.

My mom made a bunch of my clothes when I was little, too. I remember one particular ensemble that included red tights, a rainbow plaid jumper, and red turtleneck!
Delete1. Extreme makeover home edition, I just love Ty and the fact that he is 100 percent awesome all of the time (you never hear him grouching about being tired, plus he is a project manager like I'm gonna be. The boyfriend asked the other night who I would choose to be my significant other out of Ty and beautiful science type Brian Cox, I said I couldn't possibly choose they are both awesome, apprently it was a trick question & the actual answer was my boyfriend, doh!
ReplyDelete2. I sometimes don;t know my own limits or how to say no so I end up tired/ill every 2 or so months. I'm trying to be more selective in the stuff I do but saying no is hard!
3. I still miss them but they were pretty terrible multicoloured/rainbow leggings I wore all the time when I was 7, there were just so many colours and no one else had anything like them (looking back I realise now there was a reason, but they were still pretty fab!)

1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
ReplyDeleteI've been reading four books at once, so in terms of books, my head is exploding a little. As for TV shows, I'm going to go ahead and admit that I'm a huge fan of the Star Wars: Clone Wars show. Yeah, it's a kid's show, but the fights scenes are badass!
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I can also be pretty judgy, but I think being lazy is my biggest flaw. I'm trying to work on cutting down my time spent meandering the Internet, as well as keeping to a schedule and (gasp) setting goals.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
Oh boy...I had a really terrible short haircut as a sophomore that I had no clue how to style correctly, which resulted in some bad bad-hair days. In terms of clothing, I could list a ton from high school, but I figure anything I wore before age 18 doesn't count because I didn't know any better!
1.) I'm re-watching Arrested Development on netflix. Well, part re-watching and part ACTUALLY watching, because I never gave the show a chance before now. It's hilarious and highly addicting. I've also been spending a lot of time on theselby.com --it reawakens my dormant creative mind!
ReplyDelete2.) I keep saying I want to do/make/begin something, and then I just don't do it. I have absolutely no reason not to. I just don't. And then the day is gone.
3.)In high school I had a light gray zip up hoodie with a cassette tape print on it. It got covered in chalk pastel in my art class, and I thought it was hip and "artsy" looking, so I left it like that and wore it all the time. It was actually just dirty. I wore it with a really short pleated jean skirt and hunter-green hemp converse. Yeeeech.
@jadorejadele
omg glue dreadlocks(!!) these are great<3
ReplyDeleteI'm quite overwhelemed in the best-of-ways with reating(reading+meeting..) tons of awesome answerettes here. ahoy<3
here we go:
1. Sagmeister&Walsh blog, or rather their news section. omg design+typography heaven. books: just began reading Anna Karenina.
2. I should be more active physically. I've gone through some rough family losses so I stopped caring, really. I walk a lot, but I used to be very active. Anyways, I'm accepting of my new self I guess.
3. lowrise jeans. omg the-undies-show can you imagine...just saying +SO glad I'm no longer in my 20's. oh and hair colored highlights. I thought I was shakira(with her 90s hair) when I was 19…
Bikes & the City //@meligrosa
I love the monthly meet and greet Sarah!
ReplyDelete1. What website/blog/tv show/book series are you obsessed with at the moment?
Right now the boyfriend and I are all about White Collar. I never got into it before, but now that we're watching it...I have to know WHAT'S IN THE BOX?! I need to find a new book. I was obsessed with the Bones series, but caught up to all of them. I've got a big stack of books to read, just need to sit down and start one again.
2. What is your biggest personality flaw? What are you doing about it?
I am stubborn as heck and can hold a grudge like whoa. I once didn't speak to my sister for six months after we had a fight, but she knows exactly how to push my buttons and does it on purpose. That particular fight though I think taught her that I have real limits.
3. What has been your most awesome/ridiculous fashion faux pas?
Oh my gosh. I once, while in Catholic school, cut my bangs myself and decided I didn't really like it, so tried to glue them back in with elmers glue. For the next week or so I a) had awful hair and b) looked like I had serious dandruff. Pretty sure most of my childhood was spent making fashion faux pas. Blue eye shadow also was a bad move with a terrible sunburn.

1. unroll.me which handles all the stuff you are subscribed to. No more inbox overwhelm!! It handles everything! And I love sillygrrl.com since I am also an aerialist.
ReplyDelete2 My biggest flaw is that I am one of those people who leave without saying bye. You know what I mean? So that's my flaw along with everything else that implies (think about what a person who leaves a party without saying bye may be like when you get close to them). I'm not really working on it because I don't know what to do about it. I start saying "bye" more often but that doesn't really cause huge changes.
3. I cut off all my hair to go 100% kinky hair natural. It turned out to be a hot, fierce look everyone loved on me.
