Web Time Wasters

If you were wondering what to get me for Christmas, I will accept three of these.

How was your week, guys?
I co-worked with one of my favorite bloggers (and by 'co-worked' I mean 'talked about one million things and didn't really do much work'), attended a 'Favorite Things' Christmas party and picked up my favorite Philidelphian from the airport.

But let's talk links!

I have been experiencing this as of late, but I didn't know it had a name: The Charlotte Syndrome.  Here's how to get over it!
And almost every time I see her, she warns me that something, soon, is bound to go terribly wrong, because, of course, it’s impossible to be so happy for too long. But you CAN be happy (blissful, delirious, roaring with uncontainable joy) for as long as you possibly want. Yes, you can.

We've discussed the secret language of friends.  These two BFFs are hilarious and post quotes from each other on their blogs.  Funneh.  Summer-isms and Kady-isms.

If you're wondering what to get me for Christmas, the answer is this sulky kitteh painting.

Heart-shaped tree!  'Nuf said.

I think it's super important to keep learning, regardless of whether you're in school or not.  Some good ideas for keeping your brain sharp and sparkly.

I'm afraid of maxi skirts and their potential to dumpify.  I'm wrong.

Making new friends as an adult can be hard and weird.  Some great ideas on how to meet new people!

Pumpkin pie mousse, get in my belly.

Holy helpful, Batgirl!  Staying healthy and balanced this holiday season.

5 things I learned about food bloggers.
Bloggers aren’t all tech heads, nor are they all graphic designers. When figuring out how to do something tricky on their blogs, the default method? ‘Google it’.

When hanging out with your nieces and nephews this holiday season, remember that childhood isn't always idyllic.
Don't you remember being confused by certain "grown-up" things? Don't you remember desperately longing to be just one year older? Don't you remember being so frustrated when grown-ups would tell you "You'll understand later," or "Because I said so," or various other phrases used when they don't know how to explain the world to someone with no experience?

On the Every Buddy Boards, we're talking about Christmas party game ideas, being happy with where and who you are right now and attracting new readers to your blog.

Current obsessions: washing my face with olive oil, my humidifier, baking teeny tiny gingerbread cookies with my grandma's cookie cutters from the 1950s, Bing Crosby and these winter boots. I just bought a pair and I could not be happier with them - stylish! warm! not bulky! under $100!  These things are important to us Minnesotans.

  8. Sarah, how long have you been washing your face with oil? I'd love to see a post about it. I'm pretty skeptical, but I'd trust a write-up from you!
