Animal masks + lounge singer stylings + sing/rapping for the win! Also? Girlfriend's from the Twin Cities! Annnnd she has an M.A. in philosophy. If you want to be her BFF, the line starts behind me, y'all.
(P.S. If you're particularly impressed with my taste in music, everything I love reaches my ears via The Current, a Minnesota Public Radio stations that supports local and indepependant music. You can listen to it online!)

Dude, this makes me want to choreograph a burlesque routine just so I can listen to the song repeatedly with an excuse to do so.
Love it! Looking her up on amazon right now.
Very nice! thanks for posting.
Awesome Song!!! And thanks for the heads up about the radio station!
Dessa works with POS? that's incredible, I'm a huge fan of his. Liking the songs I've been able to find on youtube, does she have an album out I can buy?
Now how did you know I wanted to set up a burlesque routine? :D
Just kidding, but your timing is just right anyway, I'm totally into this kind of music right now! And for whoever's into it to, for similar style songs, check this album called "Projekt Presents: A Dark Cabaret", it's brill!
If I was to ever to do a burlesque routine, it would be to Ball and Biscuit by White Stripes.
I love learning about new music, so thanks for sharinggggg!
I first discovered The Current while living in... Utah? Yep, it's true. Some friends from the Twin Cities were so excited about this brand-new public radio station. Several years and several thousand miles later, I'm still rocking out with Mark Wheat and Mary Lucia! Thanks for reminding me to check their playlists. :)
Interesting...
god i love dessa...
