A Year In Yes!

Oh friends. I am so damn excited to tell you about my new project! As alluded to in my open call for photos, I've been slaving away in the salt mines (read: drinking coffee with the BFF, petting her cats, and designing together) to create something So Awesome. What? A Yes and Yes Calendar!

However! We're not talking about 12 months worth of kittens in baskets (though you know I'm all over those). Each month includes a gorgeous photo and a inspiring (but non-cheesy) quote. The date bit of the calendar includes fun ideas, ass-kicking quotes, and hilariously real holidays - National Puppy Day, anyone? To the side of the dates there's even space for a monthly list! February's list is 'People I've Kissed.' October? 'Ridiculous Things That Scare Me.'

click on image to see larger version

The calendars will be printed locally, on recycled paper. They'll measure 11" by 17" and there's plenty of space in those date boxes to scribble in all your important plans.

At the moment, we're in the process of formatting everything and ironing things out with our printer, but I'm hoping to have them ready to ship by mid-late November. And the price for all this goodness? $18 with free global shipping!

So are you interested, friends? If you are, please leave a comment or email me. Contacting me or leaving a comment does not require you to buy a calendar, it just helps me estimate how many I should have printed on our first run.

So waddaya say?

Absolutely! Will they be shipable to places outside the US?

Sarah Von said...

Yes! Though I should 'warn' you guys that the holidays listed and pictures are 'US' centric - so there's no Boxing Day or Queens birthday. And for Kiwis and Aussies, the pictures for November and December are pretty 'wintery'

Just FYI :)

Ashe Mischief said...

I'd be interested!

A said...

Well that's ok since I don't have Boxing Day or the Queen's Birthday either!!

Hannah Lewis said...

Not sure if I've actually commented before, Sarah but I ADORE your blog and you seem like a pretty awesome person. That being said, I would totally be into buying a calendar <3

mizgrun said...

Awesome - I'd need it pronto to help me cope but shipping is all the way to the middle east though.

thanks for the great blog, always puts a smile on my weary face.

Georgie said...

This is such a cute idea ^^

Michi said...

I'd love to have one (or two) of your calendars once they're ready. However, global shipping includes Spain?????

Sarah Von said...

I'm really hoping that I can keep the global shipping as a viable option. I've yet to talk to the post office about it - when I've sent things to friends of this approximate weight/size, the shipping costs weren't prohibitive. If the shipping for far off lands is more than $5, I may have to revisit this, but at this point, I'll maintian my battle cry of "Free global shipping!"

Also, I can't figure out how to work a paypal option to include Shipping and Handling ;)

Haha Sarah couldn't you be multi-cultural and chuck in a few holidays for those of us south of the equator? We always get left out from all the calendar goodness!

Nonetheless, I reckon I'd be interested. :)

Sarah Von said...

Oh you guys! I am so, so touched at your support of our little endevor! Next time any of you are in the Twin Cities (or I'm travelling through your neck of the woods) meet ups will be mandatoy. :* (<- I believe that's the emoticon for a kissy face)

Hey Guys! I think I can safely say that this is just the FIRST "Yes and Yes" calendar/ printed item and that others will follow in years to come... If Sarah doesn't mind the e-mails, we'll keep a list of brainstormed ideas... Lauren, send in your suggestions for those Southernly Holidays!! :)

Lauren said...

@Darcie/Sarah: I was just going to suggest having maybe Australia Day on there + Boxing Day + any other big NZ equivalents that I'm not familiar with! I understand they're not so relevant to the rest of the world, but it'd be lovely to see them there alongside all the other fun and quirky holidays. However, it's not a deal breaker. :)

And hello, 100th comment party in my comment form, if you catch my drift. ;)
