Hey! Remember that time I poked around South America for three months? Like, half a year ago? Because I would apparently rather spend my time going to cat shows and zombie pub crawls, I just now uploaded the photos from my trip. Care to take a gander? I should tell you that I deserve zero of the credit for how well these photos turned out, as they were taken by my travel partner/former boyfriend.

Just gorgeous! We need to have a chat about how you get past taking pictures of people in other locales. I always feel bad, like I'm going to offend them. When we lived in China people taking pictures of us got real old!
MP - that's a good question. Usually I ask them. Around Peru, they often hold out their hand for money after you take a picture of them, so I would usually give them a little something, or buy them something to eat. Really, I'm not an expert at it and it can be a bit uncomfortable, can't it?!
That last picture is breathtaking. They all are!

Oh Peru, how I miss you! After England, it's the country I've spent the most time in in my life (2 months!) I think it also provides the most photo opportunities of any country - llamas! Machu Picchu! ladies in beautiful blankets!

Beautiful! My family went to Peru last year and they absolutely loved it. What a great experience.
These are so fantastic! I have this hangup about not carrying things when I'm going to be walking or hiking and as a result, I never bring a camera. All of my vacation pics were taken with my iphone, ugh, it's awful. These have inspired me to bust out the camera.

Traveling without a guide isn't scary - I think it's the only way to go! I did this trip six months ago, you can read about it under the 'notes from the road' tab on the right. :)
