A Nameplate Necklace! For You!

Things that I'm a fan of:
a) Cupcakes and Mace, the blog
b) Ms. Constantine who runs said blog
c) The great laser cut jewelry that she sells through her etsy shop.

A bit of info on Ms. Constantine you say?
Name: Kim or Ms Constantine, the alter ego in my head is Mace.
Locale: Wellington, New Zealand
Inspirations: Bloggers, street fashions, cuteness, colours
Favorite Cheese: Blue brie
Advice for fellow artists and writers: Do what you love, love what you do. In the face of harsh critics alwaysremember that art is subjective.
What you'd wear this necklace with: A low v-neck in a shade opposite to the necklace, pencil skirt, leggings, and brightly coloured sneakers. Rockabilly scene crossover goodness.

Aren't we lucky that she's giving away a custom-made nameplate necklace to one very lucky reader? What's more, you can choose from 13 different colors and 4 different fonts. Oh My!

To enter, pop over to Kim's etsy shop and then leave a comment telling us what you'd want your necklace to say! As for me, I'd go for a clear necklace in courier font that said "Ms. Von" so I could point at it and glare if my students ever got cheeky.

Good luck!

Wow how pretty! I'd love a light grey tint in Courier New saying 'claire' - would be such a lovely accessory to have :)

I love Ms Con's etsy store! I always really wanted the seahorse...

I'd like my necklace nameplate to be in white frost fourth font, and to say "theLadyafterwards" - it's a reference to my favourite e e cummings poem. It'd make a loooong nameplate though! :p

I would get a blue tint in helvetica (#2) saying "free" because I just had my last day of high school today =D

I want a black one (font #3) saying LOVE with a skull cut out on the letter "o". I love the contrast between such nice word and such bad ass look!

I'd love to get a pink "Ashe" (heart in the A, natch), to go with my bright blue Mischief one!

Oooh, if I hadn't already done my "$200 Etsy spending spree" blog this challenge I so would have put this on my wishlist!!

I would want a black Nikita on my necklace.. it's what my nan used to call me.

What a cool etsy shop!

I'd get a frost white in the third font that says "fairy," because my mom sometimes calls me erie fairy (my name being Erin, of course). Or maybe "fierce," as in fierce beagle.

What to do, what do to...get both!

Wow great jewelry! I would love a necklace with my name I NEVER find them because my name is spelled weird. People always pronounce it wrong too, I just tell them its pronounced "Layla" like the song... :)

I would definitely choose a my name "leila" in black with a 18" cable link chain in gunmetal black in font 1.

Hope I win!

I've seen Cupcakes and Mace around the 'net, and drooled at her wares on more than one occasion.

My necklace would say "READ" in red, because I am a book-loving librarian and believe that a good story can certainly change the world. <3

Shayla said...

This is amazing!! I'd love mine to be in blue tint, with font 3 saying Elenea, which (this is super nerdy) means stars in Elvish.

Jade said...

That narwhal necklace is wikkid. I'd want my necklace to say " !!!!! "

Marie said...

I would like "MissT" in frosted white in the #4 font. I am also a teacher and would love to wear that around at school. It's way cuter than the name badges they make us wear. :)

Denise said...

i would want one that said "fly" in black with courier new font.
i am constantly telling people i am part bird, i am very independent and hate to stay in one place for too long.

The Naked Redhead said...

I'd get a clear black "S" in Helvetica, because I'm nerdy like that. :)

Georgia said...

Ooooh! They have so much fun jewelry! I'd either get my own name, or my cat's name (Elvis). so cute!

Georgie said...

That's so cool. I'd have the word Empress, as my friends all agree I'm going to rule the world one day, and that would be my official title ^^

Mandy said...

I would love one that says CiaoBella in white and font 3. So cute!

I gotta say that I'm a huge fan of the FUCK necklace. I know that makes me a bit crude, but I do adore it something fierce. :3

Hammy said...

I'd go for one which said 'yes.' in black and font 3, just to remind me to stop shying away from stuff!

(I love the fuck necklace too!)

what a cute shop! Deciding what it shold say is hard.... I'd go for 'symmetry' how about :-) .
Thanks Sarah!

The Haute-Shopper said...

Wow, what a lovely and creative idea for jewelry! It sure beats the typical gold name jewelry you see everywhere else. I'll have to go check this out... thanks for sharing!

Gingham Skies said...

This is a tough one but I think I would go for Jaime in white in the same font as KIM with a heart in the a would. It would look FANTABULOUS! I hope I win, these are super cute!

MP said...

It was a very difficult decision but I've decided on 'mary' (not capitalized) in font #4, dark gray tint and a little bird cutout in the 'a'.

So many great options! I think this is exactly what to get my brother's girlfriend for Christmas!! Thanks Sarah!

Meri said...

ooooh, I would go with "shine" in white frost in the 3rd font.
I've been listening to a few tunes with shine in the lyrics and the word has been sticking with me lately.

What a beautiful etsy store! I love acrylic jewelry.

If I got a nameplate necklace, I would get in in red tint with courier font. It would say "ponies" with an apple cut out of the "o." My friends have always made fun of me for being childishly obsessed with horses; I don't deny it, but I've always resisted buying blatantly ponyish jewelry. Until now.

Emma said...

I would get 'emma' in red helvetica. poiffffect!

Nicola said...

Awesome!

I would get Nicola in white helvetica. Maybe then the baristas would spell my name correctly for once! ;)

Also, my capatcha is "listerize"! Very you, Ms Von.

Mich said...

i can't decide but i'm leaning towards my nickname - mich in font 3.

FB @ FabulouslyBroke.com said...

I'd get a C-Squared necklace that would have a saying on there instead.

Something by Coco Chanel, like:

"Fashion fades, only style remains the same."

or

"Elegance is refusal."

Both of which are incredible

OO! Or maybe something in french?

I can't decide right now, too many possibilities running through my head.

Thanks for the contest! :D I hope I win!

I'd get a black one in font #3 that said "pony"

I would get a necklace that says chloe for my niece. It would be pink and have a heart in the "o" because she just had open heart surgery.

Oh! and it would be in font 3.

Awesoooome! This is a giveaway I definitely want to win!

I'd love a red tinted necklace that says "pirate" in font 3. A skull cut out of the e would be awesome too :D

I'd adore a silver mirror necklace that says "awesome, p.h.d."in font 3.

Oh, what a fabulous contest! I adore Kim's pieces; especially the little unicorns.
If I won a necklace, I'd love it in courier white frosted acrylic, saying "violonjello" with the silver chain.

Beatrix said...

What great timing! I was just shopping for one of these! I'd get 'beatrix' in font four (with the love hearts, of course!) and in silver mirror because Beatrix will soon be my new legal name and it'd make it easier for everyone to remember that I've changed it!

Kate said...

Oh! I would want the helvetica, in red, saying "profe"...aka what my Spanish students call me (short for profesora!).

HannaH said...

Oooh, love the shop! I would like mine to say HannaH in dark grey tint and font 1 with a bird cut out in the first a.

Pin said...

ooh, i love this! i'd get "je t'aime" {with a heart cut out, natch... or is that too much?} in the silver mirror acrylic {or black} in helvetica bold. fingers crossed! xx

Meredith said...

I would get a necklace in light gray, in courier, that said "mer"-- my nickname for Meredith, but I also like it because of its associations with the sea. Also I love lowercase.

Destynee said...

I would want "Girl On Fire" in Helvetica Bold in Dark Grey Tint, because I am engulfed in and passionate about what I do and love, if that makes sense. I hope it does.

char said...

I'd deffo get 'char' with a heart in the a, in the same font as that 'fuck' necklace, and it would be silver-mirrored and i would ROCK. IT. I stalk her etsy shop all the time, baha.

Mrs. Lovely said...

Oh, I'd love a white frost necklace in Courier New saying 'mila'! LOVELY!

Camila F.

*kate* said...

Love her work!! Everything is so cute! I would want the third font and it to say kate with the "a" and the "e" to have a cute cut out...possibly a star? the reason i'd want kate is simply because that's my name and i love who i am :)

AurĂ´re said...

i just love everything she does and her blog!!!
I'd love mine to say Hyphen, which is my band's name!

xoxo! ^^

Evie said...

what an awesome giveaway. I love the cupcakes &mace blog already and Kim is really lovely.
I would adore a necklace in clear, Helvetica Bold saying 'evie'.
Fingers and toes crossed! Thanks for the great giveaway :-)

Kim makes AMAZING necklaces and I can testify to that having purchased a few this year for gifts. I do believe it is time for me to get one myself, however it seems a little obscene to purchase one for myself when the partner is saving so very hard for a trip to NZ in a few weeks. This competition came around at the perfect time!
I would love my necklace to say Del in blue frost courier new print. If possible, I would absolutely love to have a thumbs-up sign cup out in the D. Silly? Possibly. Rad? Totally.
To all of your readers: even if you don't win, go an get something from her shop. She does a kick ass quality job and is very talented. You won't be sorry!

meg said...

ohhhhh! I love this! fantastic christmas ideas!!! I totally want "meagan" in the green tint in the third font.

Steff Metal said...

I've been reading Cupcakes and Mace for ages, and dreaming about buying a necklace - perfect competition.

Mine would be Fluro orange courier and would either say 'Steff Metal', 'Kreig', or 'Grymm'. I just can't decide!

abbeydoo13 said...

i'd want mine to say "abbeyroad" with font #2 in either mirror, white or black (cant choose :P) with a gunmetal chain. awesome :D i've wanted one forever.

Chesney Willard said...

Oh I've been meaning to get a necklace from her for forever!

I would want mine to have my name, "chesney", in white frost, courier font, black gunmetal chain, and cupcake cutouts in the 'e's if it were possible.

I think I never got around to ordering one because I wasn't sure the e's could have cutouts, and instead of asking, I just completely forgot about it. Fail, I know :x

Erin W said...

Oh cute! I think I'd get "erin", no capital E's, I like mine lowercase!

daddylikeyblog said...

Eeeeeekkkk I just adore Kim's work and I'd love love love to win this! I'd go for a simple "Winona" necklace in pink, black, or blue (still deciding). And I have to say even if I don't win this I'll be ordering one!

House of Jules said...

Ooooh, I really want one of these!!! I'm not exactly sure what I'd get. Maybe "Jules" or "MrsPiven" or maybe one of the squared pieces with a quote in it. I will be thinking about this all day... love it!

Anisha said...

I already ordered one for myself last month so I'm not partaking this time... I can only encourage people to take part in this, as the necklaces are so lovely!

Mine says 'inspire' with a little heart carved into the p!

Cute name necklace even though I'm not so keen on the holes for the chain going through the letters. I got my name necklace at wow-imports.com and love it. The price was great and shipping was free.
