$125 Worth of Purse! For You!

As you guys may know, my little corner of the internet has been kicking around for about a year now, and though I can't even begin to express how much I appreciate you guys making Yes and Yes part of your day, I can try! And how better to show my love than offer y'all a swankity swank clutch purse?!

The lovely folks at Chickdowntown were gracious enough to sponsor all this blogoversary fun and supply us with one of these great little Monya handbags. Though I'm particularly partial to this bag, I'm also a little bit in love with the J.A.K. Plaid shirts. Because grunge is on it's way back, eh?

We all know that black and white works with nigh-on everything, and this pattern is funky enough to work with your show-going, weekend gear, but sophisticated enough to match your schmancy cocktail-swilling ensembles. See?

yesandyes

Zoe
stuffs her clutch with blow pops, a compass, glossy glossy lip gloss and her favorite fortune cookie slips. She enjoys sucking seductively on the blow pops and then feigning ignorance over the mayhem that ensues.

Yes and yes giveaway

Raquel
is a trail lawyer by day, bar fly by night. She favors Jameson on the rocks, largely because she enjoys being the sort of woman who drinks whiskey. Her purse contains only her phone, a money clip and the sort of business cards that would give Patrick Bateman palpitations.

Yes and Yes giveaway

Annika is an art student who specializes in the graphic novel, filling square after square with delicate cross hatching. Her purse contains a marker with which she be-spectacles and mustachios all of the posters around her fair city.

Would you like this lovely littly purse? If you would, just leave a comment detailing what you would pair it with and what you would tuck inside. A winner will be chosen at random on July 30th. Sadly, this particular give-away is limited to those living in The States. I'll get you non-Yanks next time!

I would pair this purse with a blue shirt dress, opaque, dusty purple tights, and my pink lowtop converse sneakers with mismatched shoe laces (one blue, the other yellow.) I would do my hair in thick ringlet curls, my bangs tucked to one side with a barrette stolen from a My Little Pony (it's got gumballs on it!) and wear sheer, but bright, red gloss on my lips, and huge plastic sunglasses, teal of course.

Inside, I would tuck an old scrap of fabric, red and white checks with black ants marching across, that I wore for months 'til it started to fall apart; faded prints of the faces of obscure celebrity crushes from my tweens, and the knowledge that I am loved, and, as such, can live with boldness.

Dang it! Sorry about the double post; I'm not entirely used to the comment system yet.

I would wear the last outfit but with unripped jeans because without those its pretty close to my aesthetic. I would put my iphone and hot pink lipgloss in it and probably a sheet of stickers. (they are fun to leave random places)

Keys, camera, lipgloss and I'd wear it with a thirifted black jumpsuit and nude heels.

oooooh so fun!!!

I would keep my obsessive little collection of stilo pens with felt tips inside & pull them out with great fanfare during my writing poetry class this fall so that I can use color to express my metaphors more clearly.

anndddd I would totally wear it with a slinky little black pencil skirt that makes my bum look very JLo circa 2000, a tucked in red shirt with some ruffles, and wicked black pumps that frighten every man within 50 feet.

yesss. that clutch- way cute. & congrats on your blogaversary!

Business on the inside: debit card, keys, lip gloss.

But when you're wearing it with a magenta tank dress, wide white belt, a long silver chain necklace, and high black heels, it's party on the outside!

It might not match very well, but who cares about matching!?

I'd pair it with a black slightly oversized band t-shirt, and black skinny jeans, with a pair or gold flats.

Inside it, I'd put in my scruffy old wallet ( I don't have the heart to let it go ), my ipod, and some chapstick.

I'd pair it with a deep purple dress, some killer black stilettos, and shiny silver jewelry.

Inside would of course be my license and my favorite lip gloss

Too perfect! I have to go to a 1920's themed wedding next month so I would pair that adorable bag with my teal drop-waist dress, black round-toe Mary Janes, long (fake) pearls and cloche hat. I might have to dig up some black-and-white dangly earrings to go with it!

And inside? My favorite new matte red lipstick (I'm a flapper, dammit!) and cool green phone (SO not retro, but I still gotta have it).

Love this Moyna Handbag! I would pair it with a lacy white tank, black shorts, and black and white high heels. With a red cardigan and red nail polish to top it off. Perfect!

It is cuute! I would wear it with the salmon pink dress I'm making at the moment, (it's called a coffee date dress, according to Burda Style), my black Oxford pumps, and a relaxed updo.

Oh, I forgot what would go inside the purse! If it fits, My moleskine (and pen) would be in there, along with a purse, my chapstick, and wallet.

I want to pair this purse with my new dream outfit... I'm almost halfway there to owning it, as well! There's a retro royal purple mini dress I've been eyeing, with the thought of pairing with my black and white diamondcheckerboard tights and brand new dove gray Mudd booties!

yesssssssss! :D

Ahhh snap as to what we chose!! Good work. Feel free to enter in my Chick DOwntown one - it's such a shame I can't enter them myself!! Silly UK residency!!

I love what Raquel paired the clutch with. Those shoes are red hot!

I'd carry my necessities: money, cards, lipstick, chapstick and pressed powder. But I also carry a monogramed handkerchief.

I'd pair it with my black and white embroidered Mexican dress, lime green sash belt, and black wooden clogs. Inside, you'd find no fewer than three flavors of gum, my iPhone, my keys, and a tampon. Also, 3D glasses.

I would pair that lovely with a modern indigo blue dress, reminiscent of the '60s, with a barely visible zig-zag patten in a slightly darker color. Black tights would run down my legs and end in a pair of white peep toe heels. My hair would feature my bangs, dramatically straight across, just over my artfully (but not overdone) make-uped eyes. Soft curls fall out of a messy up-do.

Inside the clutch would be a couple dollars, my cell phone, and the small notebook I always bring with me to jot down to-do lists and other notes (with a pen, of course). If room permits, my librarian glasses and fortune cookie fortunes from recent meals.

This clutch screams leather mini skirt, paired with my pour la victoire platform gladiator sandals. Inside the clutch? A single diamond earring stud, 20 dollars, and a lighter in case a cute boy needs a light.

dude. i'd keep it simple, because that clutch is THE only necessary accessory. faded black jeans, with a thick cuff to capri length. 12 year old used-to-be-white chuck taylor's with no socks, & a snug little v-neck elvis tee. high swinging ponytail, thick mascara on the upper lashes, and big red lips. h. o. t. ;)

inside: red lipstick, bubble gum & some monies or plastic.

Love this clutch! I'd have it on me for a night out with my girls. I'd pair it with some skinny jeans, cute flats or sandals (like from Mystique), and a fun top. In it would be cell phone, gum, money, and keys!

Great outfits!

For an evening out I would pair the clutch with my favorite LBD (it is fitted at the top and then flowy at the bottom) and my pair of purple tights. I would definitely pull out of leather boots to go with this outfit and a favorite dangly pearl earrings.
Inside I would have my cellphone (cause I can't go anywhere without it) and my license/debit card. Practical things but I need them!

jeans, as usual & I'd put my Burt's Bees chapstick in it ;)

My favorite silver style grecian headband, and nothing else. Obviously I would visit a local nudist camp (oddly enough there are quite a few in MN) so I could walk by the pool and show off my purse without pesky clothes getting in the way. Inside? a mini French dictionary. Don't ask me why, it just feels right.

Totally agree with a previous post-perfect for a night out with the girls! Wear it with a fuchsia ruffle shirt, bright green not-so-high heels and dark jeans.

Inside? nude lip gloss, money, crumpled up receipts (it just happens) and my cell phone. maybe.

the purse is a little crazy and i'd like it to be the focus of my outfit so i think i'd go for a punk rocker look: black jeans, burnout black T, black heels and stacks of silver bracelets.

Inside? Bright red lipgloss, cash, id, cellphone and, most likely, a little black notebook full of naughty secrets.

keep on rockin' in the free world!
