Three weeks ago my beloved Saab finally gave up the fight after 22 years of accelerating slowly and heating bums in cold weather. The Mister made a pretty good argument for giving public transportation a try and I gamely played along. Please allow me to give you my prognosis in the form of a haiku:
oddly expensive
forever hunting quarters
who cares if you're green

OH, I love the bus!
Nowhere else in a city
will you find that the
opportunities
for people watching are so
outstandingly fun!!
seriously, i'd
never give up the pleasure
of watching bus peeps...
...they're all similar
in ways inexplicable
to car commuters.
give another try.
you might find that you like it
enough to HOP ON!
touche!
I've recently started walking home from work. That, coupled with avoiding the twit who works at reception in my office, has done wonders for my stress levels.
After only a week, Stagecoach's appalling service is merely a distant nightmarish memory.
I'm with you, Sarah.
